It does not cover wear and tear and damage resulting from wear under conditions exceeding the watch manufacturer's water resistance or other limitations, or damage due to physical and/or accidental abuse, negligence, error and recklessness on the part of the user.
The warranty will be void if the watch has been opened, repaired or altered by anyone other than our recommended repairers.
How to claim warranty
In order to claim warranty, customers can notify us by email at sales@e2watches.co.uk and quote their order number, full name, delivery address and date of purchase. Although we try our best to carry out repairs swiftly, it can sometimes take up to 6 weeks to rectify faults. Once we have repaired and returned the watch, customer should check it for any fault or damage and notify us by email within 7 days of receipt.
On the off-chance that we are unable to rectify the fault and repair your watch, we will send you a replacement watch. If we do not have that particular style in stock, we will offer you a watch of equal value from our stock.
Automatic Watches
Automatic movement have to be looked after regularly. The winding of spring in these watches occurs with movement of arm. If automatic watches are not worn for more a day or two, they may have to be reset. Wearer should manually wind their self-winding watch once every fortnight. It may also require time adjustment once a month since these watches can gain or lose time.
Advice on Water Resistance
It is imperative that you understand the ATM (Atmospheres) ratings before watch is exposed to water. To start with, remember that water resistant watches are not water proof. A watch which is marked with water resistant rating of 5 ATM or 50 meters should not be expected to withstand a depth of 50 meters under water. These ratings are based on laboratory tests which show the ability of a watch to withstand pressure in a static condition (motionless water) and at specified depth. When swimming under water by wearer, the water pressure is obviously different due to arm movement as compared to pressure in static condition.
Manufactures have their own water resistant recommendations. Below are some general guidelines
3 ATM or 30 Meters – Splash, rain, little water exposure
5 ATM or 50 Meters - Brief immersion in still water, wash face
10 ATM or 100 Meters - Bathing, swimming, snorkelling
20 ATM or 200 Meters - Scuba diving
We suggest you avoid submerging your watch in water unless it is water resistant to at least 10 ATM. Leather straps will also wear out sooner if exposed to water regularly. Exposure to sea water and sauna can also affect its water resistance. Deterioration will also occur as gasket is aged.
